Golden Shears Style Judges 2021

Dedicated to showcasing and promoting the best young creative and technical talent in tailoring, Golden Shears takes place every two years showcasing entrants creative and technical excellence with a catwalk show in The Merchant Taylor’s Hall. Due to the pandemic, this year took a different format with a specially commissioned film being released on the Golden Shears website.

All entries were carefully scrutinized by a panel of expert Technical Judges, including Brigitte Stepputtis (Global Head of Couture, Vivienne Westwood), Joe Morgan (Head Cutter, Chittleborough & Morgan) and Davide Taub (Head Cutter, Gieves & Hawkes) among others. From over a hundred entries, twenty four are selected on technical merit to go through to the final and be judged by a celebrity style panel awarding three trophies on the night. Following this round of technical judging, marks are carried into the final where a panel of Style Judges determine the three winning entries. Style Judges included Daisy Knatchbull (Founder, The Deck, London) Lilah Parsons (Arts and Entertainment Presenter) and Dave Berry (TV and Radio Presenter) among others.
