The Pollen estate are delighted to announce The Deck London’s move of its atelier to Number 19 Savile Row this month, the first shopfront on Savile Row exclusively for women.
Julian Stocks, Property Director of The Pollen Estate commented “We are thrilled to welcome The Deck to Savile Row to enhance the female tailoring offer which continues to position the Row as the finest street for luxury and bespoke tailoring.”
Savile Row is the global centre for luxury and bespoke tailoring, producing some £20m worth of bespoke suits per annum. The Row itself is home to over 100 working tailors, whose craft has been perfected on the street for over 200 years. The street’s history has a wealth of notable female clients, including Naomi Campbell, Twiggy, Coco Chanel and Bianca Jagger, who have all been dressed by Savile Row tailors.
Currently in Chelsea, the new showroom will open in September and is located in a beautiful space spread over 3,000 square feet featuring original panelled walls and a private fitting room for client appointments. The space will be exclusively furnished by Oka. All government measures are in place to ensure client’s safety is paramount when visiting the store. The new store will continue to cater for The Deck’s diverse customer base and celebrity clients including Elle McPherson, AJ Odudu, Gillian Anderson and Lauren Hutton.
Daisy Knatchbull, Founder of The Deck commented “We have had a really exciting first year, despite the ongoing effects of the global pandemic. We have been given this fantastic opportunity to start a new venture on Savile Row and sit alongside the best tailoring houses in the world. Our focus continues to be conscious consumerism and ensuring that your investment into a tailored suit from The Deck will immerse our company values of durability, longevity and versatility. We are looking forward to welcoming our clients old and new to Savile Row.”
Subject to health and safety rulings, The Deck will host a launch party in the store in October. There will also be a series of intimate events taking place at the atelier including lunches & dinners with the founder Daisy Knatchbull. Moving forwards the space will hold monthly get-togethers for customers to view the latest designs in-store, whilst enjoying drinks and meeting like-minded professional women.
Alongside its own suiting and made-to-measure service, the store will also offer a curated capsule collection from concession brands that will complement the suiting, featuring shirting, shoes and jewellery. The concession brands will change every 3 months, so the offering in-store is fresh and changes seasonally.
